Continued Breezy Over the Crest Through Monday……Cooler By Wednesday…..MJO Stalls over the Maritime Continent
Saturday January 15, 2011
Not much to add this morning. An upper ridge off shore is far enough west to allow breezy conditions to continue over the upper elevations this weekend. Winds will gust to 60MPH over the crest. Temps will be little changed now with Mammoth Lakes highs in the upper 40s to low 50s through Monday. Expect temps from 5 to 10 degrees cooler up on Mammoth MT.
Expect lots of high clouds at times….especially Sunday as a short wave passed to our north. The weather looks dry for the next 5 days with cooler weather ahead by mid-week with the addition of more wind by Wednesday and Thursday. Normal highs for Mammoth this time of the year is about 40 degrees…. with lows in the low 20s. We are above normal temperature wise.
MJO has stalled out over the Maritime Continent……will update on it progress Monday.
Have a great HolidayWeekend!
