Rain on the wain for the high country…with just partly skies for the weekend……models back off on chilly air plunge for next week over the countrys mid section…

Lots of rain yesterday over the sierra with some sites recording over an inch in the Yosemite area. Wet along the 395 corridor as well.
Expect another day of afternoon clouds with a chance of thunder today and this evening with some areas getting some brief heavy showers. Little change in temps today with highs in the 60s lows in the 30s.
Tomorrow, the odds go down to 20% for isolated showers in the late afternoon and early evening hours. The weekend outlook is dry with highs in the 60s and lows in the 30s. Lights winds…
Expect the weather to really warm up next week as significant height rises occur over the far west….
