Westerly Flow Today Will Back to the Southwest Thursday As a Spring Trough Brings Winds and Cooling to the High Country Thursday Through Friday……Temps over the Weekend look Seasonal and Less Windy…
Wednesday May 2, 2012
Nice mild day today Wednesday with light winds until this evening….when the upper flow begins to back from the Southwest. It will be a breezy day Thursday through Friday night, as a typical Spring trof brings cooling and breezy weather just prior to the weekend. There may be some showers Thursday night into Friday morning. However, the chances are slight for measurable precipitation.
Highs today in Mammoth will be in the low 60s then cool to the mid 50s beginning Thursday with additional cooling Friday. The good news for you skiers and boarders is that night time temps will begin freezing again over the weekend. It looks warmer again with high returning to the 60s by Tuesday…… Typical May weather here in the high country with periods and cooling and warming and winds as well. No major storms on the horizon…….
Weekend outlook. At the moment it looks fair and dry with highs in the 50s at resort levels and some 60s over the lower elevations. Lows in the 20s and low 30s.
