The Weather has work out perfectly with a generious snowpack for the Holiday Season along with excellent weather to enjoy it with.

The Hemespheric Pattern shift is under way as the strong blocking high that was over Alaska, retrogrades NW over or near Siberia replacing the large scale upper Vortex near that same area the past several weeks. This flip in the pattern creates a long wave upper ridge over the Eastern Pacfic which will keep our weather fair. It will continue to be cold the next few days. However, the GFS and ECMWF bring a significant warm up for the shortest days of the year between the Solstice and Christmas.  High temps at resort levels may reach well into the 40s, while nights remain well below freezing….
