Fall Approaches next week with a continuation of warmer then normal fair weather……This will be a high country travelers dream week…El Nino indices strengthening again…….
This has got to be one of the best last weeks of summer ever for the high country. Temps are expected at 8000 in the Mid to upper 70s and lows in the 30s and 40s Winds will be light!
The advertisement of an amplified pattern over the western Hemi continues with a strong positive height anomaly forecasted over extreme NW BC,Can and well above normal heights continuing over Eastern California for the next 7 days……
Super typhoon SANBA is aiding the pattern with some possible constructive phasing of the westerlies.
EL Nino:
Latest CFSv2 model runs are once again showing the possibility of a stronger El Nino this winter. Which begs the question will Mammoth have above Normal Snowfall? Chances are increasing “Again Now”. The Dweebs will be following this intensely this Fall. The experimental model has be all over the place this past Summer. So is this a head fake? We’ll update on a regular bases.
More later!!!!
Dr Howard and the Dweebs…………………………….:-)
